A vast and impressive entrance, which has received a fair amount of attention, from ourselves and other clubs in the past. We returned to what was described as the best lead: a window near the top of an 80m pitch.

From Hilary Greaves's log book entry, 13/8/01:

Yesterday, Doyle and I went up to F80 and reached the famed upper window. It goes up to a draughting climb (draughting downwards). I climbed this using naturals as running belays and gained a rift. Unfortunately the rift then turned into a boulder choke, which had a significant draught, but currently no person-sized gaps. Could try dragging rocks out of it (with some care), if we're going to push this cave hard.
