Social Meets, Michaelmas Term 2021

The club normally meets in Oxford on Wednesday evenings.

Please sign up to one of the OUCC mailing lists to be sent links to the meetings.
(New members who gave us their email address will also be notified of meetings for this term even if not on the standard mailing lists.)
Also keep an eye on the OUCC Facebook pages!

If in doubt, please contact the Secretary (Izzy Innes): secretary@oucc.org.uk

At most meetings ("Social") there is general chat, beer and socialising; occasional meetings might include a short talk about caving.
Termly and Annual General Meetings are where the club membership and committee discuss and plan the running of the club;
the AGM is also where the committee for the next year is decided. (TGMs are in Michaelmas and Trinity terms, the AGM in Hilary term.)

New members are always welcome. Just contact anyone on the Committee or (turn up to a meeting.. we wish!).

Weds. 20th-October, (1st week)- Introductory Talk

The talk will be held at Somerville College (Woodstock Road, OX2 6HD). We will meet at the front entrance of Somerville College on Woodstock Road at 7.50pm- I will be there to greet you in a helmet so I shouldn't be hard to miss! Unfortunately, we won't be able to drink or eat during the talk, but we will probably decide on a pub to get drinks at after for anyone who wants to get to know each other and share a drink afterwards. The talk will run you through what exactly happens on a weekend caving trip and what you need to bring/ what we provide, as well as other stuff the club gets up to when we are not in a cave. It should be a great time to meet like-minded people who are just getting into caving, and it would be lovely to see your faces there!
Hope to see a lot of you at this week's introductory talk and if you have any question feel free to give me a message on here (chair@oucc.org.uk) or Facebook. I am always happy to help and love a good caving question!
