Just to keep you apace of expedition news, as I have it at the moment.

In 2/7, GSP has dropped into the shaft series at the First False Floor; I presume this gives a welcome bypass to the rifts if it is itself not too tortuous. Upstream, the right hand inlet noted in last year's discoveries has been pushed for 250m to a sump, with ways draughting over the top; this is speculated to be the downstream end of the C3 sump; in which case where does the main stream coming down Viagra Falls come from?

Pozu Jenga, (valley of dry bones) is continuing as a dig with enormous draught. Digging downwards, gravel filled boulder ruckle is giving way to airy spaced boulder ruckle. 10/9? is being successfully enlarged using the Hilti system; it is a cave over upstream 2/7, which was a too tight rift leading to a tantalizing pitch.

Joanne is due back soon, so there will be more details then.

Cheers, Paul Mann
